On Friday, June 24th, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) officers conducted an operation at a residence in Palmyra East, Canje, Berbice and arrested a man over a shotgun.
A release from CANU said that a search of the premises led to the discovery of one loaded improvised shotgun and one live cartridge.
CANU said that Radesh Bickharie, 52, was escorted to the Central Police Station, New Amsterdam, Berbice, along with the firearm and two live cartridges, which were handed over to the police.
