In light of the blockages and the fires that were deliberately set on the East Coast Demerara main road today, reports have emanated that persons were also attacked and robbed at the Lusignan and Mon Repos market areas, the police said.
As such, members of the Joint Services are currently on the ground monitoring the roadway to mitigate against acts of crime or damage to state property, a statement from the police said.
