A man who pleaded guilty to armed robbery on a woman in the vicinity of Bourda Market and pleaded not guilty to another charge was sentenced on Monday to serve four years imprisonment.
Daniel Dorway, 22 years old, of Lot 2378, Cane View Avenue, South Ruimveldt, was taken before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court and the charges were read to him. Dorway pleaded guilty to one charge which stated that on June 18th, 2022 at North Road, Bourda, while being armed with a knife, he robbed Kelwattie Shamsaheen of one shoulder bag worth $4,000, one Samsung Ultra Cellphone worth $250,000, one LG phone worth $60,000, one Louis Vuitton wallet valued at $600,000, 155 Canadian Dollars, 200 US Dollars and $295,000 in cash, a total value of $1,634,000.
