Last year’s novices winners, Michael Sampson, Yusuf Khan, and Aliyah Wong, will all be gunning to repeat as champions when the bodybuilding federation hosts its Intermediate and Mr. Berbice Championships tomorrow.
The event which is scheduled for an 18:00hrs start, will be staged under the bright lights of the Berbice High School auditorium and the trio will be looking to outshine their competition.
Sampson (bodybuilding), Khan (Men’s Physique), and Wong (Ms. Bikini) have all promised to bring their ‘A’ game.
However, the Intermediate is a step up from the Novices and the abovementioned athletes will be pushed to the limit as in excess of 20 musclemen and women are scheduled to compete at the second local Fitness Express sponsored bodybuilding and fitness event for 2022.
On competition night, the musclemen and women will be battling for spoils in different segments of competition, Bodybuilding, Bikini, Men’s Physique, Mr. Berbice and Miss Best Legs.
Rising from the ashes of the pandemic, this year’s event is to celebrate life, health and fitness whilst promoting a healthy lifestyle and healthy living.
Organizing Secretary of the bodybuilding federation, Videsh Sookram stated that all safety measures for those in attendance will be observed.
