The Anna Regina Municipality in Region Two on Wednesday morning signed contracts for 11 projects worth a total of $18 million and which are geared towards the enhancement of the township.
At a simple signing ceremony held in the boardroom of the Anna Regina Town Council, Mayor Rajendra Prabhulall called on contractors to be responsible and accountable.
He noted that the projects fall under the council’s 2022 subvention and are spread across the township from Three Friends to Walton Hall. During his remarks to the contractors, Prabhulall urged them to provide local employment for those living in the respective communities and stated that residents will be consulted on the projects.
