Team Guyana finished with a five-medal haul, a silver and the remainder bronze when the curtain came down on the inaugural Caribbean Games last night in Guadeloupe.
Thanks to the heroics of Track and Field athletes, Chantoba Bright and Joanna Archer, swimmers, Raekwon Noel and Zara Crane and the 3×3 Basketball team, the local outfit was able to earn its place (15th) onto the medal table which was topped by Cuba followed by Puerto Rico and Trinidad and Tobago.
Bright, finished third in the long jump, Archer second in the 800m final, Noel third in the Men’s 100m Butterfly, while Crane was also third in the Women’s 200m Breaststroke.
