Guyana pushing for Saudi embassy here

President Irfaan Ali said that from today onwards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will have a desk at the Ministry of Finance, while systems are being put into place to establish a permanent location in Guyana.

 

“We are prepared to make the land available for you to establish your embassy in this Region in Guyana and I expect in the next quarter that we must have positive movement on this…We are ready for you to have your permanent footprint here”, he said, according to a release from the Office of the President.

 

The Head of State told the Deputy Minister for Investors Outreach, Badr Al Badr at the Guyana-Saudi Arabia Investment Engagement at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre (ACCC) that Guyana will also look to establish its footprint in Saudi Arabia.

 

After the initial engagement, he held a bilateral discussion with the visiting officials.

 

The visiting Saudi mission held talks with a wide range of persons at the ACCC.
