The Guyana under-19 girls tasted their first defeat in the Cricket West Indies youth rising stars T20 championship, falling 18 runs short of Jamaica girls in round three on Friday.
Guyana won the toss and inserted Jamaica who managed 115 for three from their full quota. Guyana however, were set a revised target of 106 in 18 overs but could only scamper to 87 for four by the time their overs expired.
Jamaica’s Lena Scott was the principal batter, hitting six boundaries during her 56-ball innings which saw her racing to 43 before being trapped leg before wicket to Realeanna Grimmond.
