Dear Editor,
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to serve as a member of the Board of the National Library and the Metrication Board of the Guyana National Bureau of Standards.
My experiences as a member taught me the importance of replacing a board as quickly as possible once its life has ended.
A long delay forced me a few years ago via the media to call on the Ministry of Education to address its failure to ensure the National Library has its board. After my persistent letters, a board was installed and of course, I was rewarded for showing interest by not being selected,
I cannot understand how noticeable delays can occur leading to board-less units.
Yours faithfully,
Krishna Nand Prasad
