One new COVID-19 death was yesterday reported by the Ministry of Health.
The victim has been identified as a 79-year-old female of Region 7, Cuyuni-Mazaruni. The unvaccinated woman succumbed on July 10th 2022.
As such, the country’s death toll has risen to 1,263.
Meanwhile, 184 new cases were recorded after 1,129 tests were conducted. Region One has recorded 11 new cases; Region Two, 14; Region Three, 12; Region Four, 104; Region Five, 8; Region Six, 2; Region Seven, 13 and Region Ten, 20.
In addition, 5 persons are in the Intensive Care Unit, while 34 are in institutional isolation and 779 in home isolation.
