Chandrapaul Hemraj smashed a record 130 in the Atlantic Conference of the Minor League Cricket in the USA as New Jersey Somerset Cavaliers defeated Empire State Titans by 73 runs earlier this week.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Somerset Cavaliers piled on a mammoth 233 for four in 20 overs while containing Titans to 160 for nine by the time their overs expired.
Hemraj was on the ball from the get-go hitting a record 16 sixes and one four during his 54-ball innings before being trapped leg before wicket to Towhdul Islam (1-42). The left-hander, who will turn out for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League, shared a 160-run opening partnership with Abhishek Prabhu who anchored the innings with a ball-a-run 42, featuring two sixes and one four.
