Guyana Amazon Warriors left-hander, Chandrapaul Hemraj is priming up for the Caribbean Premier League with his second consecutive century in the Minor League Cricket currently playing in the United States of America.
Last weekend Hemraj inspired New Jersey Somerset Cavaliers to a nine-wicket win over Philadelphians. Winning the toss and opting to take first strike, Philadelphians posted 192 for four from their allotted 20 overs while Cavaliers reached 193 for the loss of one with 10 balls to spare in reply.
Hemraj hammered 11 sixes and two fours during an unbeaten 50-ball 101. He added 113 for the first wicket with Vanditkumar Prajapati who made 69 from 42 balls, highlighted by six sixes and four fours.
Hemraj was then joined by Xavier Marshall who made 20 not out from 18 balls to see his side over the line.
Earlier, Prajapati picked up 2-33 while Najaf Shah and Imrul Hashib bagged one wicket each for Cavaliers when Philadelphians batted.
Former Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore right hander, Milind Kumar top scored with 83 not out from just 39 balls after striking six sixes and three fours. Abdullah Syed made 31 while cameos came from Chranshu Bhatia (27), Jonathan Foo (19), Derick Narine (17) and former England bowler, Liam Plunkett (11 not out).
