US Embassy launches asset recovery workshops

The U.S. Embassy in Georgetown, Guyana, through funding from the Department of State’s International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Programs (INL), yesterday launched a series of workshops on asset recovery.

A statement from the embassy said that the workshops were launched in partnership with the Attorney General of Guyana, Anil Nandlall, SC and the National Center for State Courts (NCSC).

The statement said that NCSC are the workshops’ facilitators, and participants include representatives from across Guyana’s government, including representatives of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, the Special Organized Crime Unit, the Financial Intelligence Unit, the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit, the Judiciary, and the Guyana Police Force.
