GCA trounce East Bank by 70 runs

The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) continued its dominance of the Demerara Cricket Board’s (DCB) Inter-Association Under-19 100 overs tournament after beating East Bank by 70 runs.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, GCA piled up 209 from 55 overs. They then limited East Bank to 139 for eight by the time their 45-over quota expired.

Georgetown Cricket Club’s Rivaldo Phillips top scored with 72 from 99 balls. His innings featured seven boundaries and he shared a 62-run stand for the seventh wicket with Riyad Latif who made 22 from 54 balls. Shamar Yearwood missed out on a half century after hitting three sixes and four boundaries during his 67-ball 47 before he was trapped leg before wicket by Deon Diene.
