Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, a statement from the Department of Public information (DPI) said today.
Jagdeo is currently in Washington as part of a Guyana Government delegation.
President Irfaan Ali and all other members of his delegation were also tested and the results returned negative. President Ali and other members of his delegation will continue with remainder of the agenda.
DPI said that prior to his departure from Guyana, Jagdeo showed no symptoms and had tested negative.
