The Georgetown Masters Association three-day event titled the ‘Caricom Football Championships’ which was initially scheduled to commence on July 2 at the Georgetown Football Club, Bourda, Georgetown, will now kick off tomorrow.
This was disclosed in a release from the entity. According to the correspondence, the tournament will now be staged on July 30, 31 and August 1, at the same venue. The event will feature eight teams. They are Linden, Beacons, Wales, Club 45, Santos, Pele, Thomas United, and the Guyana Defence Force.
Trophies and cash incentives will be up for grabs. The sponsors of the tournament include Digicel, Star Party Rentals, Hits and Jams Entertainment, the National Sports Commission, Upper Level Barbershop, Guinness Bar Durban Street, and the Medicine Chest.
