Swan and Buxton United recorded lopsided wins when the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) Thunderbolt Flour Power U17 Football Championship commenced yesterday at the National Training Centre, Providence.
In the East Bank Demerara Football Association zone, Swan crushed Kuru-Kururu 7-2. Anderson Webber crafted a hat-trick in the 12th, 41st and 55th minute while the quartet of David Loncke, Erosion Webber, Marho Andrews, and Murphy Andrews scored in the third, 11th, 29th and 32nd minute respectively.
For Kuru Kururu, Jonathan Hooper found the back of the net twice in the 15th and 43rd minute. Meanwhile, Buxton United downed Beterverwagting (BV)/Triumph 4-0 in the East Demerara Football Association leg. Osafo Browne led the rout with a brace in the 20th and 59th minute. Contributing conversions in the seventh, and 18th minute were Swade, and Osafo Edwards respectively.
