A 20-year-old mason on July 24 pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and was fined.
Dayon Marshell of Lot 141 James Street Albouystown was brought before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where the charge read that on July 22nd at James Street, Albouystown, he had in his possession 23 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
Marshell pleaded guilty and was fined $30,000 or 2 years imprisonment. He was also ordered by the Magistrate to desist from using narcotics of any sort and to avoid participating in any criminal activities. Marshell had told the court that the cannabis was found in an alleyway, but the prosecutor interjected saying that the narcotic was found in the defendant’s pants left pocket.
