The Essequibo River island of Leguan is scheduled for a six-hour power interruption tomorrow, Saturday, August 6.
A notice in today’s Stabroek News from the Guyana Power and Light (GPL) says that the utility will be conducting a critical upgrade to the existing network at the Leguan Power Station and therefore customers will experience an interruption from 9 am to 3 pm.
GPL says that the upgrade will cater to the increasing power demand on the island.
