The HERO Caribbean Premier League’s playoffs and finals tickets will go on sale today in Guyana.
This was confirmed yesterday by CPL’s head of marketing, Chris Watson, who noted that the tickets will be available at the local box office, 233-234 Camp Street, Georgetown and online at CPLT20.com.
Watson reckoned that there would be an unprecedented demand for this leg of the tournament since it is the first time Guyana will be hosting a final coupled with the popularity of the home team, Guyana Amazon Warriors who have made it to five finals since the tournament started in 2013 but are yet to win the competition.
“For our brand it’s all about vibrancy, noise, colour, excitement, and that is a really hard thing to deliver without fans because it’s the fans that bring the party to the biggest party in sports and without the fans our product, it just isn’t the same. Now that we have the fans come back in masses across the board, people have responded massively to that,” Watson was quoted as saying.
“Certainly, in Guyana I think it’s going to be a phenomenal couple of weeks with the games and cricket carnival and all the other things going on… I’m sure those games are going to be pretty packed,” he added.
Prices for the Eliminator, Qualifier 1, and Qualifier 2, are booked at the same price for the Warriors home matches. These are $6,000 for Green Stand, $5,500 for the Red Stand, $3,300 for the Orange Stand and $2,500 for the Grass Mound.
For the finals, Green Stand tickets will cost $6,500, while Red Stand will cost $6,000. Orange Stand tickets will cost $4000 and the Grass Mound will cost $3,000.
The box office will be open from 9.00 hours to 17.00 hours on weekdays and up to 13.00 hours on Saturdays. All matches will be played at the National Stadium, Providence, East Bank Demerara.
