East Canje Berbice man, Suraj Ganpat who is accused of murdering his estranged wife Cindy Ramchandar, turned himself over this evening at the Central Police Station in New Amsterdam.
Commander of Region Six, Boodnarine Persaud, this evening confirmed that the man turned himself over in the presence of his father. Stabroek News was told, that as of this evening investigators were preparing to question the man.
Ramchandar, 24, of Lot 134, Number 47 Village, Corentyne, was stabbed four times about her body. A post-mortem examination gave her cause of death as haemorrhaging due to multiple stab wounds.
