The Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) this morning reported that one of its members, Kareem Kayume of Regent Street was murdered last night.
No details were provided on how he died.
The CIOG said he was a member of the Queenstown Jama Masjid.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later, it said.
