Baburam Suraj Ganpat was today remanded to prison over the murder of his ex wife, Cindy Ramchandar.
Ganpat, 37, appeared at the Springlands Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Alex Moore virtually where the charge of murder was read to him.
He was not required to plead and will return to court on November 2 for report.
Ramchandar, 24, of Lot 134, Number 47 Village, Corentyne, was stabbed four times about her body. A post-mortem examination gave her cause of death as haemorrhaging due to multiple stab wounds.
