Jeremy Roach, the man who allegedly murdered 20-year-old Owen Young was yesterday remanded to prison.
Roach also of Perseverance, appeared at the Diamond\ Grove Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Judy Latchman where the indictable charge was read to him.
The man was not required to plead to the charge and was remanded until September 11th, 2022.
An initial report from the Guyana Police Force had said that Young was fatally stabbed in his neck last Saturday at about 22:00hrs at Sorrell Drive, Perseverance, EBD.
According to reports, the now deceased man and two suspects were conversing when a heated argument ensued which resulted in one of the suspects stabbing Young to the right side of his neck.
Young then fell to the ground and was subsequently rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
