The Ministry of Health yesterday said that two unvaccinated men from Region 10 are the latest COVID-19 fatalities.
A statement from the ministry said that an Upper Demerara-Upper Berbice man, 88, died on August 13 from the virus. Another man from the region, 71, passed away on August 16.
The death toll is now 1,278.
Meanwhile, the ministry said that there were 41 new cases of COVID. Two persons are in the ICU.
