Pomeroon man found dead after complaining of feeling unwell

Police are investigating the death of a 34-year-old Pomeroon resident, whose lifeless body was discovered on Monday at a Bartica property hours after he complained of feeling unwell.

The dead man has been identified as Trevor Adams, called ‘Max,’ of Grant Newport, Upper Pomeroon.

Reports are that Adams was a habitual drug user, who experienced mental health issues.

His body was discovered between 08:15 hrs and 15:30 hrs at a dilapidated Sixth Street, Bartica house, where he usually stayed.

According to a police report, the owner of the property related that around 15.30hrs on Mon-day, she was about to leave home when Adams complained to her about feeling unwell.

The woman said she advised him to seek medical attention.

Later the same day, when she returned, the police said the woman found Adams’ lifeless body under her house.

An alarm was raised and the police were summoned.

Adams’ body was examined and no marks of violence were observed.

A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted soon.
