General Manager of the Inter Caribbean Airlines, Trevor Sadler, has provided airline tickets to the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) in an effort to aid the arrival of several coaches from within the Caribbean region, according to a BCB release yesterday.
It also stated, “We are delighted to inform the general public that the General Manager of the Inter Caribbean Airlines, Mr. Trevor Sadler today informed BCB President Hilbert Foster that his airline would provide some airline tickets to the BCB to bring in cricket coaches from the Caribbean.
This is a major development for the BCB as we strive to make sure that the rich legacy of Berbice cricket is kept alive.”
The release explained that the local association had engaged the company earlier in the year to assist in this capacity, adding that plans are afoot for more coaches to be brought to local shores to assist the region in its developmental drive.
“Mr. Sandler has also offered to promote the work of the BCB via the airline’s popular inflight magazine. He also offered to work along with the BCB in the future. Berbice Cricket is really on the move and the best is yet to come,” the release added.
