Some of the most sought after Caribbean artistes have been confirmed by organisers of the inaugural Cricket Carnival to perform at concerts during the event.
Dubbed as an electrifying two weeks of non-stop celebration, the event will be star studded with performers such as Caribbean Dancehall Queen Spice, Soca Superstar Machel Montano, Soca Royalty Patrice Roberts and Legendary Reggae Singer Beres Hammond. Others are expected to join the line-up
Artists will perform at different scheduled events and some of them have dropped video confirmation on social media, sending fans into a frenzy.
A ‘Big People’ party featuring Guyana’s most popular one-man bands will also be part of the event.
The two weeks of celebrations will see events hosted across the country; venues known to date are the Guyana National Stadium, the Marriott parking lot and the National Park. The calendar includes food festivals, a river cruise, a duck curry competition, Soca and Wine, J’ouvert and a much anticipated road march, among others.
Cricket Carnival comes on the backdrop of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) announcing that its playoffs, semi-finals and finals will be hosted by Guyana for the next three years.
