President Irfaan Ali says that in next year’s budget, the Government will set aside $15m for the extension of water services in the Region Nine community of Achiwuib.
The Head of State made this announcement on Sunday as he addressed residents gathered in the Deep South Rupununi community while pointing to several other interventions including job creation, agriculture, social programmes as well as the training of nurses and teachers.
The President visited several communities in the Rupununi over the weekend and announced part-time jobs and assistance with housing construction.
