Shimron Hetmyer will lead the Guyana Amazon Warriors in this year’s Caribbean Premier League, a role he admitted is one he has been looking forward to for some time.
Speaking to the media yesterday before the tournament officially bowls off, Hetmyer said, “I am very excited, it is something I was really looking forward to, to be honest and I think I could learn a lot from this role in terms of taking my cricket forward and how to manage my innings and manage the team as well.”
The explosive left-hander reasoned that this could develop his skills as a team player and develop his ability to control the game and help his team as much as he can.
