During the wee hours of yesterday, lightning struck a small fishing boat in the Corentyne River leaving a Fyrish fisherman missing and two others traumatised
As of yesterday afternoon fisherfolk and the Coast Guard were continuing the search for Hemnarine Chandradeo also known as ‘Ravin’, 28, of Fyrish Village, Corentyne.
Chandradeo, his brother, Navindra Chandradeo, and another fisherman identified as Romel were on the boat at the time of the incident aback of Albion Village in the Corentyne River. The two men were held for questioning at the Albion Police Station yesterday.
