Ann’s Grove and Charlestown will contest the Boy’s divisional final of the ExxonMobil U14 Football Championship to crown a new winner, while defending champion East Ruimveldt will oppose Charlestown in the Girl’s final, following respective semi-final wins yesterday.
In the Boy’s division, Ann’s Grove defeated defending champion Cummings Lodge 3-2 at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue. Shaquan David, Antwan Payne, and Selwyn Fraser scored in the second, 14th and 37th minute respectively. On target in the loss was Nicholas Watts, and Keshawn Daniels in the 40th and 45th minute apiece.
On the other hand, Charlestown downed West Ruimveldt 4-2. Malcolm Hendricks bagged a double in the 14th and 38th minute, while Colwin Kissoon, and Jerimiah David scored in the 10th and 40th minute respectively.
In the Girl’s section, holders East Ruimveldt crushed New Campbellville 4-0. Azaria Wilson recorded a hat-trick in the seventh, 21st, and 30th minute correspondingly. Adding a goal in the 39th minute was Antwana Williams.
Conversely, Charlestown edged New Central High 1-0. Aquenna Griffith found the back of the net in the 48th minute.
