Corentyne carpenter drowns while catching crabs for children

A carpenter was on Wednesday morning discovered dead along the Corentyne foreshore after leaving home on Tuesday afternoon to catch crabs for his children.

Dead is Chandshakar Singh, 40, a carpenter, of Lot 2 Number 74 Village, Corentyne. According to information gathered, Singh, a father of two, left home around 4 pm on Tuesday to head to the Number 73 Village Koker to catch crabs for his children as he would often do.
