A 45-year-old man of Better Hope, East Coast Demerara died after he lost control of the car he was driving on Sunday afternoon.
The police yesterday reported that the incident involving Omar Khan occurred at Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara at about 14:50 hrs. According to the report, Khan was proceeding south along the Melsha Access Road at Mon Repos when he lost control, causing the car to flip and come to a stop in a nearby trench. Police said that he was speeding at the time. Khan was pulled out of the car by public-spirited persons in an unconscious state and was pronounced dead at the scene by Emergency Medical Technicians.
