An 18-year-old porter was yesterday remanded to prison after he pleaded not guilty to a robbery under arm charge.
Emansay Harris of Rasville, Georgetown was taken before Magistrate Annette Singh in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where the charge was read to him.
It is alleged that Harris, on September 1st at Stevedore Housing Scheme, while being in the company of others and armed with a gun, robbed David Eljin of one gold chain worth $240,000 and a cellular phone worth $95,000.
The Prosecutor objected to bail.
Bail was then denied by the Magistrate and the case was adjourned until September 26th.
