Sixteen athletes from four disciplines will represent Guyana at the X11 edition of the South American Games in Paraguay next month
The X11 edition of the South American Games will be hosted in Asunción, Paraguay, from October 1-15 and Guyana will be represented by 16 athletes in four disciplines.
This is according to President of the bodybuilding federation, Keavon Bess who is the Chef-de-Mission of the sojourn.
Bess, who also served as Chef de Mission at the last games in 2018 in Bolivia, identified squash, table tennis, boxing and badminton as the four disciplines which Guyana will participate in (so far) at the event which is hosted quadrennially.
Guyana’s participation in the discipline of Track and Field is still up in the air, since the Athletic Association of Guyana is still to submit their list of athletes to the Guyana Olympic Association.
