Newton blazes to 200m silver medal at S/American U18 c/ships

Guyana’s Ezekiel Newton took his talents to São Paulo, Brazil, and ran off with a silver medal in the boys 200m event at the South American U-18 Championships. 

Newton clocked a personal best 21.45s in the half lap event on Saturday to climb the podium steps.  Newton, accompanied by Coach Johnny Gravesande, competed in  the 100 and 200m. 

Entering the event with a time of 10.55s earned at the National Youth and Junior Championships at Leonora, Newton placed third in his heat with a time 10.70s.
