President Irfaan Ali was set to depart Guyana yesterday for a series of engagements in the United States of America including a meeting with US Vice President Kamala Harris.
A release from the Office of the President said that Ali is set to meet with Harris today in Washington DC as part of a forum between her and Caribbean leaders.
The release said that the meeting is a follow-up to US President Joseph Biden’s and Vice President Harris’s commitment at the recent Summit of the Americas to partner with the Caribbean to promote energy security, access to finance, and food security.
