The Ministry of Health yesterday said that one new COVID-19 death has been reported. The deceased was identified as a 61-year-old male of Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara).
According to reports, the unvaccinated man died on September 11th at the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Liliendaal. The country’s death toll is now 1,280.
Meanwhile, a total of 13 new cases were recorded after 430 COVID tests were conducted. One of the cases was recorded from Region Two, 9 from Region Four, 2 from Region Five and 1 from Region Ten.
In addition, the COVID ICU is empty, however, 7 persons are in institutional isolation and 123 in home isolation.
