The second monkeypox patient has since been discharged from the Infectious Diseases Hospital according to Minister of Health, Frank Anthony.
“The second patient has also been discharged and we have checked in with the persons of close contacts and again there have been no signs or symptoms of any rash developing, so they’re also cleared”, he said.
Anthony noted that the recovered Monkey Pox patients are not required to do any further follow up medical examinations, since their recovery is satisfactory.
“…We are quite satisfied that they cannot spread anything they have been in isolation with us for the requisite period so we are quite satisfied, at this point in time they will not be able to spread anything,” said the minister.
