An 88-year-old man has been recorded as the country’s latest COVID fatality.
According to a Ministry of Health statement issued on Friday, the unvaccinated man, of Region Four, died on Thursday at the Infectious Disease Hospital at Liliendaal.
The new death now takes the country’s death toll from the virus to 1,281.
Meanwhile, the ministry’s updated COVID-19 dashboard showed that 4 new infections were recorded after 162 COVID tests were carried out. One of the cases was recorded from Region Three and 3 from Region Four.
According to the dashboard, there was no one in the COVID ICU, however 5 persons were in institutional isolation and 120 in home isolation.
