Stravo Evons, who is accused of robbing two persons in armed attacks along the Soesdyke Public Road, East Bank Demerara, has been remanded to prison.
According to the Guyana Police Force (GPF), Evans, of Lot 169 Middle Road La Penitence, Georgetown, was refused bail after being faced with the charges on Friday when he appeared before Principal Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Grove/Diamond Magistrates’ Court.
Evans is accused of the armed robberies committed on Nitisha Klass and Kevin Frazer, which occurred at Soesdyke Public Road, last Tuesday.
The GPF said Evans, a labourer, was charged with two counts of armed robbery after being arrested on Thursday.
He pleaded not guilty to both charges but bail was refused and he was remanded to prison.
The matter was adjourned until October 31, 2022 for statements.
