Guyana Amazon Warriors’ head coach, Rayon Griffith has underscored the significance of the team’s final four matches as they begin their home leg against Jamaica Tallawahs tonight.
Griffith, speaking at the ExxonMobil launch yesterday said, “We have to stay on the positive side, we know if you slip, you could go, we are keeping together and trying to motivate them and keep them in high spirits.”
The Warriors returned home with three points after registering one win and a no result after six matches in the Caribbean Premier League so far.
“They all know the position the team is in at the moment; we just have to keep focussed and try to execute. I think execution is key in everything we do, bat, bowl and in the field as well.
We know how important these last four games, we really need these wins especially when we lost game three and game five, I thought those were crucial games we should have gotten points from,” he said.
Warriors will be without Tabriaz Shamsi and Heinrich Klaasen, who have returned to South Africa while Shakib Al Hasan and Rahmanullah Gurbaz have been named their replacements.
