Dear Editor,
I have now been in Guyana for two weeks. The silence of any national conversation on Oil Dorado is stunning. Black Gold-oil- is beyond transformational for Guyana. Where are the debates about who, what why and how fast? Who will benefit and who not? Dreams or nightmares. I see none apart from a bourgeois enclave in Camp Street. Even Big Oil defenders are slow to come to the table to argue the case. Wake up Guyana and the Guyanese! It is all of your futures at stake. And do buy the book (On Amazon naturally) to give you ammo for the argument.
Sincerely,
John ‘Bill Cotton/Reform’
