Promises made by President Irfaan Ali, and Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo during their visits to Region Two earlier this year will soon be fulfilled, Agriculture Minister Zulfikar Mustapha yesterday assured.
He made the remark while delivering the feature address at the 181st anniversary of the commemoration-as-a-village of Queenstown, on the Essequibo Coast.
According to a Department of Public Information release, during his speech, Minister Mustapha told the villagers that event speaks to the value of the efforts and the rich legacy left by the founding fathers of the village and all those who fought for freedom many years ago.
He also said that the government remains committed to ensuring all farmers benefit from the plans and programmes of the government, aimed at transforming Guyana’s agriculture sector. He assured the villagers that they will soon see the promises of government being rolled out.
