Fruta Conquerors crushed fellow Elite League outfit Ann’s Grove 5-1 during a friendly encounter on Tuesday evening at the Tucville Community ground.
Seon Cato opened the scoring for the hosts in the 21st minute racing down the left side before dribbling his marker while cutting into the area and finishing into the back of the net. The score line jumped to 2-0 in the 28th minute when Dennis Edwards scored, directing his header into the far corner following a cross from a corner-kick.
A halftime lead of 3-0 was then realised as the Tucville giant recorded another conversion from a free-kick in the 40th minute. Jamal Codrington then made his presence felt in the 60th minute, curling a free-kick from outside the penalty box into the back of the net to push the score to 4-0.
The visitors eventually pulled one back in the 77th minute. However, the result was completed in the 90th+1 minute as Christopher Witter slammed home, after an initial strike was spilt in his direction by the opposing custodian.
