Dear Editor,
I am actually fed up of Ali’s antics. There is nothing presidential about him.
Guyana needs good governance, there are too many ills plaguing our society. This government seems to have no plan to rescue our country from the madness and lawlessness that is causing death and destruction in our society. Every day people are dying on our roadways as a result of horrific vehicular accidents. Crime is on the increase and poverty is widespread. Women and children face grave domestic abuse and violence that often result in their lives being taken. These social problems cannot be addressed by the head of state jumping up at concerts, posing as a batsman at cricket games and wining down at parties.
The truth is the government is actually investing in these concerts and other massive social events because poor people in Guyana will go and spend the little they have at these money spinning events that are enriching government officials and their families and friends. Ali must govern not wine-down all over the place.
Sincerely yours,
