Raj Jewellery has donated $100,000 to the Guyana Chess Federation (GCF) to aid with the staging of the ChessKid Programme.
FIDE Master Anthony Drayton received the sponsorship on behalf of the association on October 1st at the chess exhibition series staged at the Giftland Mall, Turkeyen, a release from the federation stated.
ChessKid.com is a virtual platform utilised by the federation to introduce players to the discipline via puzzles, lessons, educational videos and live chess matches. The platform also affords players the opportunity to compete against other children from other schools in the same age range and skill level.
