The 3rd edition of the prestigious GuyOil/Tradewind Tankers Secondary Schools Football League will officially resume on Sunday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown, with four fixtures.
In the opening match at 12.00 hours, North Ruimveldt opposes Friendship, while Christianburg/Wismar engages Dolphin from 13.30 hours, and West Ruimveldt tackles President’s College at 15.00 hours. In the final match, Golden Grove takes aim at Cummings Lodge from 16.30 hours.
All matches will be 70 minutes in duration during the one-round championship. Prior to the start of the aforementioned tournament, the official March Past will be conducted.
The eventual winner of the tournament will receive $500,000 for a school project and the championship trophy. The second, third, and fourth place finishers will pocket $300,000, $200,000, and $100,000 respectively towards an initiative.
On the individual side, awards will also be presented for the most valuable player, highest goal scorer, and best goalkeeper. The top two finishers in the event will qualify for the Goodwill International Championship.
