Two Black Bush Polder (BBP) residents died after they were involved in a crash along the Corentyne Highway this morning.
Dead are Yusuf Ali, 54, of Johanna South, BBP and another resident also of Johanna who is yet to be identified by relatives.
According to information gathered, the unidentified man was driving bus, BFF 7369 with Ali as the passenger heading to BPP when he slammed into a motor truck, GNN 8333 which was parked along the Kiltairn Village, Corentyne Public Road.
Residents within the area relayed that the accident happened just around 1 am.
Ali’s father said that he received the news just around 1.30 am. He said, he immediately left Black Bush Polder and rushed to the location of the crash. He said that he was told that his son was sleeping in the passenger seat at the time of the accident.
